Elect Edward Mungia for District 4
I am committed to serving our community and addressing the issues that matter most to you. My focus is on creating more accessibility to city services, better infrastructure projects, connectivity within our own neighborhoods, and responsible growth.

Top Priorities
Access to City Services
When you submit a 311 case for city services, it should be easier to see results-bottom line. We must work with city departments to better inform residents on solutions and delays to their cases. We must also bolster city resources to better accommodate long standing issues in our community.
1
Better Infrastructure
Edward has vast experience helping residents see projects and ideas come to construction. There are different spending buckets he has been able to utilize to get sidewalks repaired and constructed, streets taken down and rebuilt, and speed humps placed where residents have petitioned for them for safety reasons. Edward will be ready on Day 1 to help ensure District 4 gets its fair share of projects.

Community Well-Being
Our District 4 community is in need of additional resources to ensure safety and prosperity. Enforcing the law is not the only solution we require. District 4 needs more programing at our parks for recreation for children and adults. Community clean-ups can help change a narrative of trash in our neighborhoods and connect us with neighbors who also care. Localized town hall meetings can increase our knowledge of city services and inform city leaders of prevailing issues. An additional library or senior center can engage an entire zip code of people. We require more options than what has been provided.
Meet Edward
Edward was born and raised on the Southwest side of San Antonio in District 4. Always interested in political history, Edward volunteered on two campaigns in high school and participated in community meetings for SA2020. Upon graduating high school in 2011, Edward attended Loyola University-New Orleans and was the first in his family to graduate from college in 2015.
Edward returned to San Antonio and became an intern at the District 4 City Council Office for former Councilman Rey Saldaña. After a couple of months, he was hired full time. He continued to work for Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia after she was elected in 2019 and has served the residents of District 4 for a decade. Throughout his time in District 4, Edward has worked with hundreds of residents to improve their neighborhoods through work on street and sidewalk repairs, new speed humps, code compliance concerns, park improvements, connecting residents with SAPD officers, and working on policies implemented city-wide.
Edward has been civically engaged and has served as a board member for MOVE Texas and a trustee for South San ISD. He has also participated in Leadership SAISD, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Alex Briseño Leadership Development Program, and New Leaders Council. These programs have helped Edward form leadership skills and collaborate with colleagues from various sectors of industries.
